Radio Appearances

Every Sunday, on WLG-1370AM at 1:20 p.m. and 2:20 p.m., listen to Dr. Craig Johnson's broadcast about various hearing health care issues. There is also a 10 minute broadcast on Sunday mornings at 6:20 a.m. on WCBM-680AM.  We discuss a wide range of frequently asked consumer questions. Topics range from how we test the hearing of infants to advanced technology amplification. Sometimes you will hear our patients to discuss their experiences and treatment progress. Throughout the day, listen to 1370 AM and 680 AM, for our ads that discuss advancements in hearing health care.  

Tom Marr on WCBM in weekday mornings will often discuss his experiences with our practice.

 Staff Activities

Dr. Craig W. Johnson served as the President of the Maryland Academy of Audiology in 1997. He has been very active concerning legislative issues that affected both the consumer of hearing health care services and the profession of audiology. 

The entire staff of Audiology Associates, Inc. has participated in the state professional organization. Charlotte Godfrey is also a Past-President of the Maryland Academy and she served as the 2001 Convention Chairperson.  Briana Holtan is a Board member of the Maryland Academy of Audiology and she served on the 2003 Convention Committee. The following photographs capture some of the professional events that involve our staff's activities.

In May, 1997 Craig and Barbara Johnson represented the Maryland Academy of Audiology during the signing of Senate Bill 735 (introduced by Senator Craig and Delegate Stup) that changed the method in which audiology members were selected for the Board of Examiners for Audiology. This is the state board that regulates the profession of Audiology.

June 27, 1997

Craig W. Johnson and Leisa DeLeon, Director of Audiology at D.C. General Hospital met with Kirra Jarrett, Legislative Aide for Representative Eleanor Holmes Norton (D-DC) concerning H.R. 176. Representaive Norton later became a co-sponsor of this legislation. Charlotte Godfrey was also present at the meeting and served as the photographer.  This bill was passed in October, 1998 and signed by President Clinton.  Federal employees now have access to direct audiologic services.  This expanded access to audiologic care for 8 million Americans.
