Nonprofit organizations work tirelessly in our communities year-round, but their actions don’t always get the recognition they deserve.
Charities are part of the neighborhood network, closely tied to local businesses and community members. The generosity and donations from locally-owned businesses directly help the ones who need it the most.
Love Local celebrates a community-owned and operated business that deserves recognition. We’re honored to feature Hope For All and talk about the positivity they spread throughout Anne Arundel County.
Hope For All Is in the Spotlight
Over 300 families have been helped by Hope For All since they became a registered charity in 2004. Their main goal is to uplift disadvantaged families and provide for their basic needs. Donations and volunteering from locals make this a reality.
The origin story is a classic tale of locals uplifting other locals. Leo and Diane Zerhusen saw a need for basic necessities during their time in Anne Arundel County classrooms, so they decided to take action.
At first, Hope For All operated out of the Zerhusens’ home, then shipping containers, and finally a warehouse in 2016.

Why Hope For All Deserves to Be Featured
Hope For All has helped so many families and older adults throughout the years. Their website is full of testimonials and nonprofit awards they’ve earned.
They make a great effort to promote responsibility rather than a dependency on charity services.
We want to acknowledge and thank Hope For All for their incredible contribution. Our gratitude also extends to the volunteers and local businesses that support Hope For All with their time or donations. The list of families they’ve helped would be much shorter without their generosity.
Here’s How to Get Involved
Help takes many forms; spreading the word about Hope For All to friends and loved ones is one way to do your part. Want to go the extra mile? Whether volunteering or donating goods and clothing, your support is valuable. Your generosity will really help someone who needs it!
