Dr. Holtan is committed to administrating and providing excellent and compassionate care to all of her patients. She provides them with individual attention; realizing each one may have special and dedicated needs and she is well trained to make any and all adjustments that an individual might require. She provides unlimited support to all of her patients.
“Understanding each patient’s life experiences and lifestyle is not only important but is also critical to improving our patient’s hearing needs.”
In the tradition of Audiology Associates, the practice which was recognized as a leader in their field by becoming one of the first private audiology practices in the state of Maryland, Dr. Holtan has taken a leading role in seeking legislative advancement on a state and national level in the field of audiology making it easier for her patients to obtain the best in advanced hearing health care. She has served as the Treasurer and President of the Maryland Academy of Audiology where she helped legislate beneficial changes for consumers on both the state and federal level. She has published several articles in her field’s leading digest “Audiology Today”.
Dr. Holtan has dedicated herself to “untangling” many government rules and regulations which severely limited a patient’s ability to obtain use of their insurance benefits to receive more than the minimum benefit for hearing loss. This allows them to use their benefits to upgrade to better technology and the treatment most appropriate for their degree of hearing loss. “This has restored freedom of choice for our patients’ and all federal employee health benefit subscriber’s across the United States.”
When she is not working, Dr. Holtan enjoys spending time with her husband, golden retriever, and her family. She also enjoys outdoor activities such as gardening, hiking, and fishing.
